Led the development of the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s marketing campaign – #finditdowntown, which was honoured by more than 200 industry experts at the Winnipeg Tourism Awards of Distinction as Marketing Campaign of the Year in 2016. The wide assortment of marketing collateral (billboard/transit ads, social media, mail-outs, tours, events) helped to attract over 100,040 additional visits to the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s events in 2016. 40% of Winnipeggers noted how the campaign changed their perception of downtown for the better. A high of 1,604,033 social media impressions were logged. 20,000+ photographs of businesses and attractions in the downtown were posted on Instagram. Over 50 businesses participated in a loyalty promotion. A #finditdowntown sleigh ride tour highlighted downtown’s winter assets with the media. 2 permanent billboards were positioned in parkades, targeting concert-goers and hockey-fans, serving as a reminder to stay downtown before and after the game. 10,000 key chains were mailed. 100,000 lanyards distributed to convention-goers. Over 150,000 brochures distributed. Significant local and international media coverage earned.
